Quang Ninh police investigators said asphyxiation due to exhaust fumes from the indoor power generator of Queen Club bar apparently caused the deaths and injuries. The injured were rushed to Hai Ha commune hospital. The victims have yet to be identified.

Nguyen Huu Tuyen, 33, the bar owner, said he had turned on the generator to serve the victims following a blackout apparently sparked by heavy rains.The case is being investigated further.
