Tan Van Hung and his son Tan Xe La receive the donations
Tan Van Hung, 30, and his six-year-old son, Tan Xe La, are living in a dilapidated house in Vinh My Commune, Hoa Binh District. Hung's wife left when their son was only one year old.
Hung used to do every odd job he could to earn money, however, his life has become much more difficult amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Over a month ago, Hung suffered from a stroke and nearly half of his body was paralysed.After his story was published on Dantri/Dtinews, many readers have sent donations to support the poor father and his small son.
Receiving the donations transferred by Dantri/Dtinews, Hung said that he was very moved and happy.
"This is the biggest sum of money I have got so far," he said. "I want to send my sincere thanks to the kind donors. I will use the money for my health treatment so that I can work again to support my son."
