Speaking at a meeting on May 16, Danang Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang said that app-based taxi and shipping services would be asked to stop temporarily until further notice.
"The drivers will also be ordered to go to medical stations for Covid-19 tests and fill in medical declaration forms," he said.
A driver has been tested positive for Covid-19 on May 15 after he fell ill and took a Covid-19 test at Son Tra District Medical Station.
As the situation is becoming more complicated, Danang authorities have asked localities to tighten monitoring and strictly deal with violators. The city has reported 135 Covid-19 cases since May 3.
