Le My Tam suffers from brain tumour and gallstones
Nguyen Le My Tam has had three operations and nine chemotherapy sessions at Vietnam National Children's Hospital in Hanoi. She still needs seven more chemotherapy sessions and has gallstones.
Le Thi Ly, Tam's mother, said, "She had symptoms of rickets at nine months old. She didn't eat anything and was nauseous. Doctors said she had brain tumour."
Two years in the hospital puts a huge pressure on the family's finance and mental health. Ly said they had to postpone the operation to remove Tam's gallstones because of lack of money.
Dantri representative hands over the donation to Le Thi Ly
Thanks to the donation of VND176m from Dantri readers, Tam's operation has been carried out smoothly. Ly cried upon receiving the money and thanked everyone who helped her family.
