The free visits to the UNESCO-organised World Heritage start from today, June 18, are also applied to Yen Tu tourist site and Quang Ninh Museum.

Free entry to the three spots was only applied on holidays previously this year; while the 50% discount was for the remainder of the days in the year.
Quang Ninh has reopened tourism services to serve local visitors from June 8. However, the number of tourists to the province has been very modest.
Pham Dinh Huynh, deputy head of Ha Long Bay, said that the bay only welcomed around 30-50 tourists per day. Most tourist boats and hotels have not yet resumed operations amid the on-going Covid-19 pandemic in many localities nationwide.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Ha Long Bay’s revenues dropped by VND1 trillion (USD43,478) against 2019. The fall would be bigger this year.
