The city of Ha Long was assigned to repair and upgrade several items including the approach road to the cave and the stage inside the cave in accordance with the surrounding environment while keeping the natural beauty of the cave and safety for tourists.
The cave upgrade should be completed before April 30 and not affect the tours to the Thien Cung grotto.
Quang Ninh province officially transferred the management rights over Ha Long Bay, the natural world wonder, to Ha Long city in late 2015.
The upgrade of the Dau Go Cave is the first move of Ha Long authorities in a bid to enhance the tourism quality and management over this heritage.
After the completion of the Dau Go upgrade, the provincial People's Committee will consider the proposal on the improvements to the Thien Cung grotto.
