According to the Institute of Geophysics, an earthquake measured at 3.0 on the Richter Scale happened at around 11:17 this morning in Tra Bong District at a depth of 9.2 kilometres.

Just around three minutes later, another one measured at 2.9 on the Richter Scale occurred in the same district at the depth of 8.5 kilometres.
The Institute of Geophysics will continue to keep closed eyes on the two tremors.
Earlier on April 10, a 3.2-Richer earthquake was also reported in the central province of Quang Nam’s Bac Tra My District which is not very far from Tra Bong District.
Over the recent years, Bac Tra My and Nam Tra My District have witnessed many tremors with the most serious one measured at 4.7 on the Richter Scale near Song Tranh Hydropower Plant.
