Prime Minister begins official visit to Portugal

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived at Figo Mannduro military airport in Lisbon on late June 2 (local time), beginning a two-day official visit to Portugal at the invitation of his Portuguese counterpart, Pedro Passos Coelho.

The Vietnamese leader is scheduled to hold talks with the Portuguese PM, and have meetings with the host’s leaders on June 3. 

This is the first official high-level visit between Vietnam and Portugal. It takes place on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations, and is expected to be an impetus to promote and deepen the two countries’ relations.
