Tran Thi Phuong is suffering in the final stage of stomach cancer which has caused her great pains and oedema.

The couple’s eldest daughter, 16, has dropped out of school to take care of Phuong so that her husband Nguyen Van Viet can continue to go to work.
Their second child Nguyen Trong Phuc, who is in Grade 8 has his school tuition fees donated by some charity groups.
The house where the family is living in
Phuong has to go to hospital for weekly examinations and Viet’s income is very modest. He has to borrow money from different sources to cover his wife’s treatment.
Mai Van Truong, Youth Union Secretary of My Phuoc Tay Commune, said that Phuong’s family is among the poorest in the locality. He hoped that donors could support them.
