The Hung Yen Province Police yesterday said they have seized an automobile that was transporting more than 80 pangolins that weighed more than 300kg in all.

It is the largest haul of its kind so far in the northern province.
The automobile driver, Ngo Gia The, 33, did not have any papers to show the place of origin of the pangolins.
The told the police that he was hired to transport the pangolins from the central region to the northern Quang Ninh Province. The pangolins were to be taken to China for sale.
The pangolins have been sent to the Wildlife Rescue Station.
