PM Pham Minh Chinh speaks at Autumn Economic Forum 2025
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 under the theme “Green Transformation in the Digital Era,” which opened in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of November 26.
In his remarks, the Government leader highlighted that the forum is not only a major international event but also marks a new stage in Vietnam’s journey of development cooperation and international integration, aiming for peace, stability, collaboration, and progress both regionally and globally.
He analyzed the current global context, noting slower growth, rising government debt, declining trade, disrupted supply chains, and stagnating production and business activities, all of which have affected livelihoods and employment. At the same time, he emphasized that challenges also bring opportunities that require solidarity to mobilize resources, build confidence, and collectively shape a prosperous and sustainable future. “Green transformation in the digital era is an inevitable trend, an objective requirement, and a strategic priority for all countries seeking rapid and sustainable development,” he said.
The Government chief underscored the importance of international unity and multilateralism in dealing with global challenges. He reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent approach to green transformation in the digital era, placing people, citizens, and enterprises at the center as key actors, objectives, drivers, and resources. The process should aim to improve safety, well-being, and prosperity while maintaining an independent, self-reliant foreign policy that promotes peace, friendship, cooperation, and development.
“The significance of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 lies in the convergence of ideas, vision, and action, generating benefits and momentum for everyone, alongside Vietnam and the international community, to overcome current challenges and create an inclusive, sustainable, and humane environment for all nations, partners, enterprises, and individuals,” the PM stressed.
He added that holding the forum in Ho Chi Minh City demonstrates the city’s commitment to becoming a pioneering model for Vietnam’s dual transformation, driving rapid yet sustainable growth. The theme “Green Transformation in the Digital Era” and the forum’s discussions are designed to identify breakthrough solutions to accelerate green growth, foster innovation, and ensure inclusive, sustainable development “leaving no one behind.”
PM Chinh expressed confidence that the ideas, initiatives, and commitments shared at the forum will translate into practical actions, sparking new cooperation prospects and concrete measures to build a green, digital, and humane future for all.
He also emphasized that the forum should serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, sharing initiatives, enhancing dialogue, building trust, stepping up cooperation, promoting multilateralism, and upholding international law with the spirit of “giving endures.”
“Let us embrace the spirit of the ‘three together’, listening together, understanding together; sharing vision and action together; developing and benefiting together,” PM Chinh concluded, while expressing his belief that the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 will achieve resounding success and contribute to a more prosperous, united, inclusive, and sustainable world.
