
Under the January 15 adjustment by the ministries of finance and industry and trade, fuel prices rebounded after five consecutive cuts, led by a rise of VND 150 per litre in RON 95 petrol.
The regulator raised the price of E5 RON 92 petrol by VND 140 per litre and RON 95 by VND 150 per litre. After the adjustment, retail prices stood at VND 18,370 per litre (USD 0.71) for E5 RON 92 and VND 18,710 per litre (USD 0.72) for RON 95.
Diesel prices increased by VND 220 per litre to VND 17,280 per litre (USD 0.66), while kerosene rose by VND 140 per litre to VND 17,690 per litre (USD 0.68). Mazut prices were left unchanged at VND 13,400 per kg (USD 0.52).
The regulator continued to refrain from drawing on or contributing to the price stabilisation fund.
The latest adjustment marked the first rise in domestic petrol prices after five consecutive cuts. In 2025, RON 95 prices have risen 27 times and fallen 27 times. Diesel prices recorded 24 increases, 27 decreases and two unchanged adjustments.
