Four fishermen were rescued after their fishing boat sank at sea, thanks to a rapid response by border guards and local fishing vessels in Daklak Province.
According to Huynh Nguyen Ngoc Giang, chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Hiep Ward, the vessel was captained by Nguyen Tong Tran, 51, from Gia Lai Province.

The boat departed Quy Nhon Fishing Port on August 29 with a crew of four, including Tran and three fishermen: Ton Van Thao, 45, Pham Ngoc Dong, 38, and Nguyen Van Hanh, 40, all from Gia Lai Province.
While fishing at sea, the vessel encountered difficulties and unexpectedly sank.
At around 6 am on August 30, Hoa Hiep Nam Border Guard Station received an emergency report about the incident.
Authorities immediately contacted nearby fishing vessels and requested assistance from four boats operated by fishermen from Hoa Hiep Ward that were working in the area.
Approximately 10 minutes later, local fishermen reached the scene and safely brought all four crew members aboard. The rescue took place about five nautical miles from shore.
Giang said the four fishermen were safely returned to land later the same day.

The sunken vessel was also recovered with the assistance of local fishing boats and towed back to Vung Ro Port in Hoa Xuan Commune, Daklak Province.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the sinking.
