Petrol prices continue rising

Retail petrol prices have increased from VND500 per litre from 3 pm Monday following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The retail prices of RON 95 and E5 RON 92 petrol increased by VND930 and VND970 per litre. Meanwhile, the price of diesel, kerosene and mazut oil went up by VND960, VND980 and VND510 respectively.

Following the price hike, a litre of RON 95 reached VND22,879 and VND21,683 for E5 RON 92; VND16,622 for kerosene and VND17,097 for mazut oil.

Petrol prices in Vietnam have recently three consecutive times so far this year. Most recently, on September 25, the prices of E5 RON 92 petrol were increased by VND573 per litre. The rise was VND548 for RON 95, VND561 for kerosene and VND628 for mazut oil.

According to the two ministries, the prices of petrol and oil in the global market have been rising for 15 days, resulting in the domestic price hike.
