A female passenger has been fined USD341 for trying to board the plane with fake personal papers.
Security officials have stopped
several passengers using fake IDs to board
The incident occurred at 5.50pm on July 8 at Noi Bai International Airport. The woman had used the documents of another woman with slightly different name in order to board a Vietnam Airlines flight from Hanoi to HCM City.
The woman had checked in successfully and was discovered during boarding procedures. She said she was a worker from Ha Nam Province.
In May, the Northern Airport Authorities also fined another passenger USD341 for using ID paper of another person to fly.
Airport security officials have recently stopped several passengers using fake IDs to board. Most of them had bought cheap tickets by small travel agents. The tickets are then resold to other customers if the original person cannot fly, causing the details to be different.
Lax management at many localities is also blamed for such incidents.
