Authorities in Quang Ninh Province on July 29 repatriated five Chinese nationals who were found to have violated Vietnam's immigration laws.
Investigators determined that the individuals had entered Vietnam illegally and were residing in the country without legal authorisation. After the violations were detected, authorities conducted an investigation and completed legal procedures in accordance with Vietnamese law.
Specialist units of the Quang Ninh Province Police then finalised the formalities for repatriating the five individuals in line with Vietnamese regulations and international practice.
Police urged organisations and individuals in the province to comply with laws governing immigration and foreign residency. They also warned against facilitating, brokering, harbouring or employing foreign nationals who do not possess valid legal documents.
Authorities stressed that anyone found organising, assisting or facilitating illegal entry into or exit from Vietnam, or unlawfully employing foreign workers, would face strict legal action under Vietnamese law.
