Vietnamese online payment platform NganLuong.vn signed a cooperative deal with the Hanoi Railway Transport JSC (HARACO) on August 6 in Hanoi to introduce online train ticket payments.
Customers will have more payment options by paying directly at https://dsvn.vn or http://vetauonline.vn via the NganLuong.vn payment portal.
To book and pay for train tickets, customers need only to visit these websites, select the day and time of travel, and note the number of passengers and seat type. They then pay via the NganLuong.vn portal. All payment processes take only a few minutes, making it easier for customers to buy train tickets.
Payment methods include ATM card, Visa or Master Card, or scanning QR Codes - all popular and convenient forms of payment and gradually replacing the traditional payment methods.
NganLuong.vn has linked with more than 40 domestic and international banks and financial institutions, such as Standard Chartered, HSBC, Shinhan Bank, SCB, PV Bank, Public Bank, Vietcombank, Techcombank, MB Bank, VIB, Eximbank, ACB, HDBank, MSB, NCB, Asia Bank, VPBank, Sacombank, GPBank, Agribank, BIDV, Ocean Bank, PG Bank, SHB, SeABank, TPBank, Bac A Bank, OCB, DAIABANK, ABBANK, Saigon Bank, Nam A Bank, Kienlong Bank, and LienViet Post Bank, providing a comprehensive online payment solution.
Ms. Phung Thi Ly Ha, Deputy General Director of HARACO, said Vietnam Railways (VNR) caters to more than 9 million passengers traveling by train each year, of which more than 5 million travel with HARACO, and the number of online bookings and online payments has continued to grow. “The cooperation in expanding payment channels with NganLuong.vn is within the goal of the railway industry to focus on improving service quality, diversify payment channels, and bring convenience and safety to all customers,” she added.
Mr. Dinh Hong Quan, General Director of NganLuong.vn, said that online bookings and payments for train tickets via the portal not only provides an easy, safe and transparent experience for all customers but also contributes to expanding NganLuong.vn’s payment ecosystem.
To mark the launch of the new service, from August 6 to August 31, NganLuong.vn and HARACO will refund 5 per cent of tickets valued up to VND200,000 ($8.6) bought on the VNR website.
HARACO also signed a cooperative deal with Vietnamese mobile payment platform VIMO to introduce train ticket booking and payment services via the VIMO.vn e-wallet.
