OKXE offers solutions as gasoline motorbike restrictions expand

PR Article - As fuel-powered motorbike restrictions and low-emission zones expand, OKXE says it has rolled out solutions to help individuals and businesses transition proactively and efficiently.

Vietnam is advancing its sustainable transport agenda as part of its net-zero emissions target by 2050. Rather than an outright ban, the gradual phase-out of gasoline motorbikes in major cities is intended to improve air quality and urban living standards.

Authorities have outlined a roadmap that includes the introduction of low-emission zones and tighter vehicle standards. By 2030, electric motorbikes are expected to grow rapidly in number, replacing outdated and highly polluting vehicles and accelerating the shift towards cleaner, smarter mobility.

Despite the positive outlook, the transition poses challenges for individuals and businesses alike. One key issue is managing existing assets, as millions of gasoline motorbikes still in use represent significant household value. As demand for transition increases, the used vehicle market faces depreciation, limited transparency and a lack of reliable resale channels.

Financial concerns also slow adoption. High upfront costs for electric vehicles, alongside uncertainty over operating expenses, warranties, charging infrastructure and after-sales service, continue to deter potential buyers.

For transport and logistics firms, the shift is more complex. Replacing entire fleets affects both capital investment and daily operations, raising concerns about service continuity. Many companies require experienced partners capable of delivering integrated solutions to ensure a smooth, non-disruptive transition.

Against this backdrop, OKXE said it has prepared a range of solutions for both individual users and enterprises. Since early 2025, through partnerships with electric vehicle manufacturers including VinFast and Yadea, the platform has developed an ecosystem aimed at addressing key barriers in the transition process.

One initiative allows users to sell used gasoline motorbikes, converting their remaining value into upfront financing for electric vehicles. Through a network of more than 2,000 partners, OKXE said it aims to purchase used motorbikes at reasonable prices, with proceeds applied directly towards new electric models. Older vehicles are thus repositioned as a stepping stone towards cleaner mobility.

At the same time, OKXE has expanded its service station network. At OKXE Stations, customers can access electric motorbikes from brands such as VinFast and Yadea, with manufacturer warranties of up to eight years and an additional one-year OKXE Care package. A three-day return policy is also offered to reduce hesitation among first-time electric vehicle users.

For corporate clients, OKXE said it provides tailored packages covering vehicle selection, scheduled maintenance, technical support, one year of free roadside assistance and flexible policies designed to match specific operational needs. The aim is to support a smooth transition while controlling costs and minimising disruption.

“Urban vehicle transition is inevitable. The question is no longer whether to transition, but how to do so effectively, safely and sustainably,” an OKXE representative said. “That is why we see ourselves not just as a vehicle seller, but as a long-term partner in the journey towards greener mobility for individuals and businesses.”
