Among the fresh cases, eight were from Danang, including patients 451 to 458. Four of them are linked to Danang Hospital, consisting of a nurse, two patients and a patient's relative. The four others are residents in the districts of Hai Chau and Hoa Vang.
Meanwhile, the case in Hanoi is a 76-year-old man on Hoang Hoa Tham Street in Tay Ho District. He visited Danang around three weeks ago. He was tested positive for the virus on Wednesday. This was the second Covid-19 case discovered in Hanoi in the past two days.
Since July 25, Vietnam has recorded a total of 43 Covid-19 community infection patients in six localities namely Danang, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Dak Lak, HCM City and Hanoi, with up to 34 in Danang.
Three hospitals in Danang have been quarantined for the pandemic outbreak.
The country has so far reported 459 Covid-19 cases, including 276 from abroad.
