Two Nigerian passengers flying into Tan Son Nhat Airport were quarantined on August 19 after show symptoms of fever.
The two Nigerian passengers entering Vietnam have been quarantined.
Tran Dac Phu, head of the Preventive Medicine Centre, said that the passengers have been isolated for supervision. He added that, besides fever, they have shown no symptoms of Ebola.
The Ministry of Health has instructed the Pasteur Institute and the health department in Ho Chi Minh City keep close watch over the individuals.
The ministry also advised passengers on the same flight to get medical checkups or call their hotline (0989671115) for advice and information.
Between July 31 and August 8, three students from Nigerian entered Vietnam to study at FPT University. Their health is being monitored.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Ebola has been verified in Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra and Leone, affecting 2,217 patients and causing 1,145 deaths.
