A cold spell is moving southward and will affect the northern region tonight, September 22, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

New cold spell to hit northern region from September 22.

Rains are forecasted for northern provinces with 40-80mm of rainfall in 24 hours, some places will have over 120mm of rainfall. The provinces in the north-central coast will be affected and have rains and rainstorm from September 23. There may be whirlwinds and hail.

Due to high-pressure area, the northern region will have rains, heavy rains and strong winds on September 22 and 23. Rains and rainstorm are also forecasted for Hanoi on September 22 and the temperatures will drop from September 23.
