The information was given at a meeting between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Dutch Ambassador to Vietnam Elsbeth Akkerman.

The supply includes ventilators, the ambassador said, adding that the Netherlands would continue to support Vietnam in its Covid-19 fight.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the Dutch government and enterprises for Vietnam in the struggle against the pandemic. He expected that the Netherlands would help to transfer Covid-19 vaccines for Vietnam as well as provide Covid-19 treatment medicines and medical equipment for the country.

According to the ambassador, many Dutch businesses expressed their interest in seaports and logistics projects in Vietnam.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that the two countries need to intensify co-operation in climate change responses, human resources training and maritime and aviation transportation.

Chinh noted that Vietnam always creates favourable conditions for foreign investors, including European and Dutch investors.
