Hanoi police conducted an unannounced check on the facility operated by Duong Tan Rine, which failed to provide required business registration documents.

Inspectors found 5,200 sportswear sets bearing the Nike label, 1,200 sets marked Adidas and 14 shirts labelled Puma. Most of the goods had been sold through e commerce platforms.

The operator could not present invoices or documents proving origin. Printing, embroidery and packaging details showed multiple irregularities inconsistent with genuine products.

Investigators initially concluded the goods showed signs of trademark counterfeiting under the Intellectual Property Law. The facility also failed to display prices as required by the 2023 Price Law.

All nearly 6,500 items were sealed, seized and transferred to the storage facility of the Agency for Domestic Market Surveillance and Development.

Authorities are continuing to verify and clarify the case for handling in accordance with the law.
