According to the provincial Department of Health, the rooms from 11 hotels have been used as paid quarantine facilities for foreigners who are investors, experts, corporate managers and skilled workers and those who entered Vietnam for diplomatic purposes.
Currently, 69 people are being isolated at Nha Trang Wonderland, including 19 crew members and 50 experts from Thailand.
Nha Trang Pearl is monitoring 21 crew members, while Selena Hotel is quarantining 29 South Korean experts.
The Khanh Hoa Department of Health reported that four local military quarantine sites are overloaded, so dormitories and the Defence and Security Education Centre of Nha Trang University have been added which can accommodate 700 people in total.
HCM City has also prepared eight three to five-star hotels to serve as paid isolation areas for people entering Vietnam from abroad.
