Nguyen Trong Anh, director of Anh Tour Company, said that most hotel rooms at popular tourist sites in the north of Vietnam have been booked for the National Day holiday. Hotel room prices for the holiday period are around 50 percent higher than usual. For several spots, including Sapa, Ha Long and Moc Chau, customers have to book at least two nights.
This year's National Day holiday lasts four days so many people have chosen to enjoy the holiday at tourist sites near Hanoi or northern mountainous areas such as Mai Chau, Moc Chau, Sapa, Ha Giang and Cao Bang.

Tours to Sapa Town on the National Day holiday occasion have been sold well
According to Pham Minh Quang, general director of Dolphin Tours, demand for National Holiday tours has sharply increased. The majority of the firm’s tours have been booked by families.
Pham Duy Nghia, CEO of Vietfoot Travel, said that his company’s National Day tours have been fully booked with domestic tourists accounting for the majority. The company will organise three outbound tours on August 28-29.
Vu Van Tuyen, vice chairman of the Vietnam Community Tourism Association, said that the country is expected to welcome around five million international visitors this year.
Many localities have seen a recovery in international travellers.
Hoang Van Vinh, chairman of Nha Trang Tourism Association in Khanh Hoa Province, said that in the first six months of this year, Khanh Hoa served one million foreign tourists, up 128.6 percent on-year, including 42,507 foreigners, up 122.5 percent on-year. The province’s tourism revenues during the January-June period were estimated at VND5.54 trilion, up 209.4 percent on-year.
Vinh added that seven return flights from Khanh Hoa to South Korea operate weekly, creating momentum for tourism development. The local tourism sector has also conducted tourism promotion activities in India.
