Trains cut down amid Covid-19 outbreak

Hanoi Railway Transport JSC suspended 10 trains on Hanoi-Hai Phong, Hanoi-Dong Dang, Hanoi-Thai Nguyen and Yen Vien-Ha Long routes.

On Hanoi-Hai Phong routes, HP1 and LP2 trains which depart from Hanoi at 6 am and from Hai Phong at 6.10 am respectively will be suspended. The HP2 and LP7 trains will only run during the weekends. The HP2 train used to leave Hai Phong at 6.40 pm on Fridays and Sundays. The LP7 leaves Hanoi at 6.26 pm on Fridays and 6.15 on Sundays.

Many trains on Hanoi-Thai Nguyen, Hanoi-Yen Vien and Yen Vien-Halong will also only run during the weekends.

Hanoi Railway Transport JSC has refunded all tickets for passengers on suspended trains. It has also suspended the Hanoi-Lao Cai and Hanoi-Vinh trains during the weekdays. The trains have run only during the weekends.

Saigon Railway Transport JSC suspended HCM City-Quy Nhon, HCM City-Phan Thiet trains most of the weekdays except Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The railway sector has asked all passengers who buy tickets via agents, websites and mobile apps to provide names, the ID numbers and phone numbers in case of emergencies.
