The USD1 million event will draw the world’s top players such as China’s Lin Dan, Chen Long and Chen Jin, Malaysia’s Lee Chog Wei and Indonesia’s Taufik Hidayat.
Olympian Minh will be Vietnam’s sole representative at the tournament and is likely to be seed November 7.
Minh will then go on to compete in the Malaysia Open from January 10-15.
