As the Lunar New Year nears, farmers are busy harvesting the flowers and the exciting atmosphere has attracted lots of visitors.
Sa Dec is one of the most famous flower villages in the area where farmers have grown flowers for generations.
Yellow daisies are the main flower for the Tet season.
The flowers are grown in baskets which are put on shelves set up on the farms. The shelves help prevent the flowers from constant flooding on the farms.
Vinh Gau, a tourism blogger said that he was a regular visitor to Sa Dec Flower Village and this is the best time for sightseeing. "I usually have lots of nice photos during the Tet flower season," Vinh Gau said. "The flower baskets are arranged neatly on the immense farms which create beautiful scenery."
The blogger added that meeting the farmers also brings a nice experience for visitors.
"The farmers here are very friendly and willing to share about the long farming tradition of the village and their current work," he said.
Vo Minh Thien, a university student from HCM City said that he visits the flower market at this time every year to enjoy the Tet atmosphere.
"Coming here, seeing the flowers in full blossom, I always feel warm and full of energy to welcome a new lunar year," Thien said.
Visitors to Sa Dec can join in biking and boat tours around the flower farms and gardens.
It is expected that Sa Dec will provide some 100,000 baskets of daisies to the market during the Tet Festival 2022. The price of each basket ranges between VND 150,000-170,000.
