At the meeting on February 23, deputy head of the Hanoi Department of Health Hoang Duc Hanh said that around 26,000 Vietnamese people are living in two localities which are hardest hit by the virus.
Since February 17, flights from Daegu City to Danang City have been suspended. At present, only flights from Daegu to Cam Ranh are being operated.
According to Hanh, it is necessary to isolate South Korean and Vietnamese people who come to Vietnam from South Korea's coronavirus-hit areas for 14 days at their accommodation. Hanh has asked Hanoi Capital High Command to co-operate with the municipal Health Department for quarantine area arrangement.
Localities need to update the list of people coming back home from abroad especially those from the epidemic-affected areas.
Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung localities said that localities have to inform South Koreans resident in the area of the issues in a non-confrontational and calm manner.
