The landslide occurred at around midnight on September 21 on Dai Ninh Pass in Phan Son Commune, Lam Dong Province.
Soil and rocks spilled onto the roadway, blocking one lane of traffic.

The affected section is located about 500 metres from Dai Ninh Power Plant. Authorities said the area is particularly hazardous because of its steep terrain, sharp bends and limited visibility, especially during night-time travel.
After discovering the landslide, local residents took immediate action by placing warning markers and alerting approaching motorists to slow down.
They also notified local police and helped remove several large rocks that had fallen onto the road, reducing the immediate danger to road users.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene shortly afterwards to direct traffic and implement safety measures.

By the morning of September 21, authorities in Phan Son Commune had deployed additional personnel to guide vehicles safely through the area while clearance operations continued.
Local officials also mobilised workers and equipment to remove the remaining debris and restore normal traffic conditions as quickly as possible.
No injuries or vehicle damage were reported, and authorities continued to monitor the area for further signs of instability following the landslide.
