Police in the southern city of Can Tho have arrested a man who allegedly fired several gunshots at a local guesthouse.
The municipal police arrived at Guesthouse 555 on National Highway 91 in Chau Van Liem Ward early this morning, April 16, after receiving reports of shooting.
Police investigating the scene
According to police, when they arrived at the guesthouse, a young man was threatening to shoot anybody who moved.
When the young man learned of the police presence he shot at police officers and into the neighborhood. By 6:45am police had the suspect under control and arrested him. There were no deaths or injuries.
The suspect is currently in custody while police attempt to get a statement from the man, and the guesthouse has been sealed off for investigation.
Curious spectators
The incident frightened the residents of the community and attracted a number of passers-by who stopped out of curiosity.
