Former Vietnamese Tourist Ambassador Ly Nha Ky and Huynh Thi Ngoc Han, who won the Miss Tourism title in the Miss Vietnam Ethnic 2011, are two potential candidates for the position in the 2013-2014 tenure. The Department of International Cooperation under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said when the selection campaign closed on February 28, the department has received many other profiles but Ky and Han still topped the list of candidates.
In her first term Ky actively engaged in promoting Vietnamese tourism to international friends and received the Ministry’s certificate of merits for her lobbying for Ha Long Bay as the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Meanwhile, Han was also considered a competitor with two master degrees in Australia and her role as the International Student Ambassador of Brisbane.
The final decision will be announced by the department in March.
