The landing of flight from HCM City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport to the southern central province of Khanh Hoa’s Cam Ranh International Airport was delayed after a dog was found running on the runway.
The incident affected Flight VN1340 arriving at Cam Ranh International Airport when it was about to land. After being informed of the dog's appearance, the captain had to delay the landing by 20 minutes.
Three dogs were spotted on the runway of Cam Ranh International Airport, affecting the training of military flights and flight VN1554 flight from Cam Ranh to Hanoi.
In January this year, a flight from HCM City to Tho Xuan Airport in Thanh Hoa had a delayed landing because of a dog wandering on runway area.
The same problem has also been reported at other airports in Vietnam such as Cat Bi in Haiphong City, Dien Bien Airport and even Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
