Lao PM Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse will lead a high-ranking delegation to pay an official visit to Vietnam from May 15-17 at the invitation of PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Earlier, President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachit paid an official visit to Vietnam from April 25-27.
On trade and investment, the two nations actively realized their cooperative agreements, including the border trade agreement in June 2015.
According to recent statistics of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam has poured US$ 5 billion in 258 projects in Laos, US$1.4 billion of which was invested in hydro-electric power plants.
