National Highway 13 is the most critical route connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong.

Starting from Binh Trieu Bridge in the city, it runs through the towns of Di An, Thuan An and Thu Dau Mot in Binh Duong, before continuing to Binh Phuoc Province and linking with the Hoa Lu Border Gate adjacent to Cambodia.

This highway is a backbone of the region's transport system, handling a large volume of vehicles, especially container trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, buses and private cars. It serves the transportation needs between Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and provinces in the Central Highlands and Cambodia.

However, National Highway 13 often suffers from heavy congestion, affecting local travel.

To ease traffic and reduce bottlenecks, Ho Chi Minh City has planned to expand the section from Binh Trieu Bridge to the border with Binh Duong, approximately 5.9 kilometres long, to a width of 60 metres with 10 lanes.

Hanoi Highway is another key arterial road linking Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Duong and other southeastern provinces. It connects major industrial zones such as Song Than, VSIP and Linh Trung with the city, contributing to the region's economic development.

Metro Line No. 1 (Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien), which runs along Hanoi Highway, is set to begin operations at the end of 2024, further enhancing connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong.

Pham Van Dong Street begins at Tan Son Nhat Airport and stretches through Go Vap, Binh Thanh and Thu Duc City, ultimately connecting with National Highway 1K in the Linh Xuan area.

This road not only links to the airport, facilitating passenger travel between Tan Son Nhat and eastern, northeastern districts of Ho Chi Minh City, but also improves access to neighbouring provinces.

National Highway 1K, approximately 21 kilometres long, starts at the Linh Xuan intersection in Ho Chi Minh City, passes through Di An City in Binh Duong, and ends at the Ho Nai intersection in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province.

It serves as one of the region’s essential transport routes, connecting major industrial parks in Binh Duong with Ho Chi Minh City, enabling smoother traffic and cargo transportation.
National Highway 1K also facilitates travel between Ho Chi Minh City and nearby provinces, helping ease traffic on National Highway 1 and Hanoi Highway.
