The illegal construction before being removed
Chairman of Hoa Lu District People's Committee, Vu Van Huan, told Dan Tri/Dtinews that the removal of the illegal construction built on Cai Ha Mountain had been completed and the Trang An Tourism Company was planting trees in the area.
"It took three months for the removal work," Huan said. "We have required the company to grow trees and return the area to us as it used to be."
After Trang An Scenic Landscape was recognised as a UNESCO's World Heritage Site in 2014, construction was banned in the area. However, Trang An Tourism Company built a 510-metre-long walkway to the top of the Cai Ha Mountain with 900 steps last August. The construction was almost completed in six months and was opened to visitors in February 2018.

The walkway opens to tourist in February
Following a report published on March 2 by Dan Tri/Dtinews about the illegal construction, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism had asked Ninh Binh Province People's Committee and Hoa Lu District People's Committee to deal with the violation and remove the walkway.
