
People queue to buy bread at the Huynh Hoa bread shop on Le Thi Rieng Street
Huynh Hoa bread shop opened 32 years ago by two women, Mrs Hoa and Mrs Huynh. The shop on District 1's Le Thi Rieng Street has become one of the most well-known with many customers saying it has the best and most expensive bread in the city.
On December 14, Mrs Huynh announced on her Facebook fan page that she had ended her business relationship with Mrs Hoa and she had set up her own shop in District 3 while Mrs Hoa would carry on with the Huynh Hoa shop.
"I'm running the "Buy one get one free" programme at my new Mrs Huynh Omoi Bread shop on Road 4, District 3 until the end of December," she announced.
The information has spread on social media and the new shop immediately attracted lots of customers.
Many people commented that it was a good opportunity to enjoy the Huynh Hoa bread at a cheap price as the shop had never run a discount programme before.
And Mrs Huynh Omoi Bread shop soon received a large number of customers right after opening.

On December 16, authorities in District 3 ordered Mrs Huynh to close her new shop while lines of customers were still queuing along the street leading to her shop.
According to local authorities, the shop has not got the food safety certificate.

Meanwhile, the Huynh Hoa Bread shop is still attracting the same crowds as usual.
