A huge Christmas tree made from 500 conical hats at a church in the central province of Ha Tinh, has attracted lots of visitors.
Duc Vong Church in Huong Son District has been decorated for Christmas.
In addition to golden lights hanging around the church, visitors to the church this time are also attracted by a big Christmas tree that is 25 metres tall.
The tree is made with 500 conical hats that are arranged in 24 layers. Each hat is attached with a light and some colourful ornaments, making the church sparkle, especially at night.
Nguyen Van Long, a resident who was among a team of 25 people building the tree said it took them a month to complete.
"Although Christmas isn’t that familiar for many people in Vietnam, the traditional conical hats are known and we decided to make the Christmas tree more relevant to us," Long said.
