| Illegal racing curbed significantly by high vehicle impounding fees |
Beginning from March 11, the municipal government raised the storage fee for impounded racing vehicles to VND500,000 (USD23.95) per vehicle per day, 83 times higher than the earlier rate of VND6,000.
Last weekend, local traffic police carried out inspections of regular illegal motorbike racing, including D2 and Ung Van Khiem streets in Binh Thanh District, Thanh Thai Street and Street 3/2 in District No.10 as well as Vo Van Kiet Avenue but found no activity.
