Dantri launched the campaign to call for the donation of 10,000 N95 masks and 10,000 protective equipment for the doctors and nurses on April 3. H'Hen Nie has helped spread the information, called for donations and quickly donated VND100m to the campaign.
H'Hen Nie said she was following the news and wanted to "contribute a little bit to help the country fight against the Covid-19 outbreak" along with the doctors, nurses, volunteers, police and soldiers that are on the front-line.
H'Hen Nie has returned to her hometown in Dak Lak to live with her family as all entertainment activities were halted. H'Hen Nie said she was moved when the 17th patient was announced and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam held a midnight meeting to direct the response.
When the government asked everyone to stay home, H'Hen Nie and her family also took photos of themselves at home as a response. She also made funny video clips to encourage fans to stay home and keep a positive mood during the social distancing period.
"Health issues are more important now than beauty," she said. "I cried after watching an Italian nurse cried because she went to the supermarket after a 48-hour shift and there was nothing left. I hope the outbreak will end quickly so everyone can return to normal life."
