Large-scale vaccination campaign to be carried out in Hanoi
Medical staff who will participate in the campaign must be trained to follow the correct procedures. 100 first-aid teams from various hospitals will be assigned to help at the vaccination spots. District and communal authorities should call for support from the medical staff at the local hospitals and will be responsible for distributing the vaccines to the spots.
The campaign will be carried out when Vietnam secured enough vaccines. Before then, the vaccines will be allocated to areas with patient zero, industrial parks, crowded residential areas and quarantine centres and areas are adjacent to Covid-19 ravaged provinces and cities.
The campaign will be adjusted depending on the situation. Most people will be given two shots of the same vaccines. People who had the first shot of AstraZeneca Vaccine can be given the second shot of Pfizer.
As of December 31, 2020, Hanoi has a population of 8,317,640 with 605,698 people from other provinces and cities.
Priority will still be given to frontline workers, diplomatic staff that have to travel overseas, customs officials, people who work in essential industries like transportation firms, utility firms, people who live in outbreak areas, people who often have contact with many people, workers, beneficiaries and correctional officers.
