Vietnam is also witnessing a big wave of illegal migrants. Meanwhile, many people have ignored Covid-19 prevention regulations.

In this situation, Hanoi authorities have requested to reactivate the Covid-19 prevention and control systems and taken drastic measures to timely detect illegal migrants. The Ministry of Health’s 5K regulations namely facemask, disinfection, distance, no gatherings and health declarations must be strictly applied, particularly mask-wearing in public places and at meetings.

Hanoi will try to ensure safety for Covid-19 prevention during the coming Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day as well as the city’s election day of the 15th National Assembly and people's councils at all levels for 2021-2026.

Under the municipal party committee’s instruction, the city will suspend festivals, pedestrian streets and unnecessary gatherings in the coming time until further notice.
