
Hanoi has decided to apply social distancing regulations in line with Government Directive 15 from July 19. Under the measures, local residents should only leave home if really necessary like going to work at public agencies, factories, production facilities, establishments providing essential goods and services, or to buy food and pharmaceuticals, or in case of emergency care, national disasters, and fires.

A gathering of more than five people outside public buildings, schools, and hospitals are prohibited. All non-essential services are suspended while all factories, production facilities and establishments providing essential goods and services that are allowed to open must strictly follow preventive measures.

At around 6 am on Monday, only a few people could be seen around Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in Hoan Kiem District.

No one was seen cycling around Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple.

Many Covid-19 check-points were arranged around Hoan Kiem Lake to remind people to strictly conform to Covid-19 measures.

Most of the fashion shops on Hang Dao-Hang Gai streets have been closed



The same situation was also replicated on many other streets, including Chua Boc and Pham Ngoc Thach

Many food stalls are providing delivery services.

Gia Lam Market in Long Bien District had an abundant supply of goods.

Local shopping centres, supermarkets and markets only sell necessities during the social distancing time. Residents are required to ensure 5K regulations- wear a facemask, disinfect, keep social distancing, no gatherings and health declarations.
