At around 9 o’clock this morning, October 11, severe flooding occurred on To Huu and Luong The Vinh streets in Nam Tu Liem District. Some sections were put 30-50 centimetres under water, causing several motorbikes to suffer engine stalls.

Due to the rain, a kilometre of Le Van Luong Street faced traffic congestion.

The same situation was reported on the section of Thang Long Avenue and Khuat Duy Tien Street.

A truck needed to be rescued due to technical problems caused by the flood water.

The Hanoi Water Drainage Company arranged staff in some submerged areas to help clear traffic.

Some car drivers ignored the traffic police’s instructions, so their vehicles went into the deeply-flooded areas and faced problems.

Nguyen Van Trac Street in Ha Dong was also flooded with some sections were left 40 centimetres under water.
