The railings by the Kim Nguu River has become rusty and some sections have been temporarily consolidated by roping.
The same situation has been seen along the To Lich River running through Cau Giay District. Lots of railings only have the iron frame left but the inner protective bars are completely missing.
Some areas along the To Lich River are covered by rubbish.
The barriers along the Set River in Hoang Mai District also need to be upgraded.
Most of the railings along Lu River have remained intact, but some have been blackened due to frequent litter by local residents.
Hanoi previously upgraded the degraded railings around the West Lake.
