Hanoi remains quiet ahead of Mid-Autumn Festival

Although the Mid-Autumn Festival is around the corner, Hanoi's Old Quarter have remained quiet due to social distancing for Covid-19 prevention.

Although the Mid-Autumn Festival is around the corner, Hanoi's Old Quarter have remained quiet due to social distancing for Covid-19 prevention.

All entrances to Thuoc Bac, Hang Khoai and Hang Ga have been blocked. Hang Ma, the street that was often crowded with toy stores and customers during such days, is now nearly deserted as only one or two stores are open. Hang Ruoi, the adjacent street to Hang Ma was also blocked.

Parents often brought children to the toy stores for the Mid-Autumn Festival and young children also flocked to the streets to take colourful photos. Because of Covid-19, all shops now close at 6 pm. A toy store on Hang Luoc Street has been converted into a grocery store amid the social distancing period.
