Of the total number of toilets, up to 612 public toilets will be deployed by the city.
Workers were installing public toilets on several streets in the city centre of Hanoi on August 15. Some 230 toilets will be arranged around Ba Dinh Square and 203 along the routes leading to the grandstand.

The exit routes from the grandstand will be equipped with 90 public toilets, with another 75 placed along the travel routes for residents. In addition, 14 units will be installed for event staff at the five fireworks launch sites.
In addition, Hanoi will arrange around 400 toilets from agencies, schools, hospitals, and households to offer unrestricted use for visitors.
The Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment said providing free public toilets not only eases pressure on event infrastructure but also promotes hygiene awareness and enhances the city’s cultured, civilised image. The model will be maintained and expanded for future festivals and major events.
The city will place 800 rubbish bins with white plastic bags along the parade routes. More than 6,000 young volunteers are expected to join efforts to collect litter and encourage the public to dispose of waste properly.
Roughly 45,000 people are anticipated to attend the celebration, comprising some 30,000 guests and members of the public, about 5,000 on-duty personnel, and roughly 10,000 parade and march participants.
According to Hanoi’s Department of Tourism, the capital is likely to welcome over one million visitors for the National Day celebrations.
