The 10th floor of Apartment 32 Le Van Thiem, Thanh Xuan District was cordoned off at 10 am after a man, born in 1960, and his grandson, born in 2010, tested positive for Covid-19. The 10th floor has six apartments.

From July 5 to 6, a Covid-19 patient related to the outbreak in HCM City stayed at the apartment of the grandfather and grandson. The grandfather and grandson were later tested positive for Covid-19 on July 8.

Related people and the janitors and the guards of the buildings were also tested. The authorities have carried out the contact tracing and disinfected the building.

At noon, food, water and other necessities were transferred to the residents on the 10th floor.

From July 5 until now, Hanoi has reported 22 positive cases related to the outbreaks in My Duc District, Dong Anh District and HCM City.
