The cruise which previously belonged to a company in Quang Ninh had been transferred to another business in Haiphong City.
According to news website news.com.au, Lynne Ryan and five friends booked the cruise through a Hanoi travel agent. She was shown glossy brochure with a beautiful boat with lovely rooms and dining room. Each of them had to pay USD100 for the trip.
But what they were met with was a “crummy boat” that was far from the experience promised. They experienced filthy rooms, rat droppings, blocked and broken toilets, and cockroaches on the deck.

The VNAT has urged Haiphong authorities to inspect the case. If the cruise’s violations are too serious, they have to stop.
The company which operates Hoang Phuong cruise has been ask to apologise and provide compensation for the affected tourists.
