
Many local households get up from 2 am to grill fish amid increasing orders. This work has existed in Thach Kim for dozens of years.

Over the past five years, the fish grilling facilities have been located in a seafood processing industrial complex to help protect the environment.

From early morning, residents have to gut the fish and set up grilling stoves. The fish grilling process extends until late at night. All steps of the process are carried out professionally.

Demand doubles for grilled fish orders on Tet. The grilled fish in Thach Kim is famous for its good quality and affordable price.

There are different kinds of grilled fish, including tuna, parrotfish, silver grunt, rabbitfish, anchovy, leather jacket fish and seagull fish. These are caught in the coastal areas of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Binh.

The fish is grilled with charcoal without using spices or additives, ensuring the quality and flavour.

The work is tough, requiring people’s passion and diligence. People are covered in smoke all day.

Each fish grilling facility can cook from 2 to 3 tonnes, depending on the number of orders.
